Telecom Power Consultants (TPC) is a national provider of auditing, maintenance, engineering requirements and methods and procedures documentation for communications power systems.

TPC's goal is to  ensure the most reliable power and grounding for your communications system.

Your customer’s most important consideration is that failure is simply not an option. You must provide the best service possible so that you can retain and grow your customer base. Ensure that your service will not fail due to inadequate or improperly maintained power. Let your customers know that you provide the most reliable communications possible because you care.

Telecom Power Consultants (TPC) provides audit, maintenance, and grounding services based on a detailed step by step procedure created by TPC over the last 20 years based on T1E1 and IEEE standards. This developed check list is an interactive procedure that provides a detailed analysis of all of your power system components. Each procedure is designed to produce a thorough detailed report of all of the components of the involved system. In addition, the first section of the report is a summary of all of the major findings from the detailed procedure with recommendations for any required corrective action. These procedures can be modified to address specific requirements or needs of each customer.

The following services are currently available:

Power Audit or Power Engineering and Operations Review is a detailed analysis of all of the power systems at the site including the condition and capacity of all of the DC communications power systems and the capacity and condition of the AC plant and associated feeders and circuit breakers. TPC then looks at the condition and capacity of the engine/alternator including a check of performed maintenance routines. In addition, a detailed review of the AC and DC grounding systems is performed.

Power Plant Maintenance is designed to ensure proper operation of all of your DC plant systems and components and to ensure that the site load has not exceeded the capacity of the AC or DC power plant. An important part of this maintenance is a thorough test of the batteries and cleaning of the batteries and inter cell connectors where required.

  •
Grounding Survey is a detailed examination of the grounding system including ground windows, radio halo rings and the AC ground configuration for each site. Proper site grounding provides two critical functions. The first is safety: a properly grounded site provides protection for both the personnel and equipment from high voltage transients introduced by lightning or other exterior influences. The second is service quality: a properly grounded system will eliminate white noise and spikes created by the operation of various electronic components at the site.
  •   Documentation is essential to ensure consistent products, services and growth strategies. In order to provide the most maintainable service, a communications company must have engineering and maintenance standards for power equipment that address all of the needs and issues. In addition, supplier interface documents are essential in order to obtain equipment that meets a telecommunications company’s specific needs instead of low quality equipment that only meets the equipment supplier sales objective. TPC can develop Request for Quote (RFQ) technical documentation that will ensure that you receive the equipment that you require for reliable service.

TPC is dedicated to providing the most economical, complete solution to your power and grounding needs. We are not affiliated with any hardware, engineering, or installation provider so we are able to represent your needs to all of your suppliers and not recommend solutions that will benefit a supplier as opposed to you a customer.
